Dr. Ron I.
Wish (whose Hebrew name Yitzchak means 'laughter') earned his B.S. from Tufts
University and studied medicine at Case Western Reserve University.
Concurrently, he extended and deepened his exploration of healing and the sacred
by traveling around the world for one and a half years. During that time,
he was exposed to shamanism and Craniosacral Therapy, and began practicing T'ai
Chi Ch'uan intensively. In 1986 he completed his family medicine residency at
The University of Maryland Hospital and subsequently became board certified in
family practice. Ron subsequently studied Craniosacral Therapy with Dr. John
Upledger, energy healing and body psychotherapy with Barbara Brennan, and
Continuum, a form of sacred movement with Emily Conrad.
As a modern American shaman, he is a gifted healer, wise
physician and passionate teacher of Craniosacral Therapy. Over the last 25 years
Dr. Wish has
undertaken sacred inner and outer journeys with physicians, healers, and shamans from
North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
Since 1987,
his private practice in hands-on healing and shamanism and his teaching of Craniosacral
Therapy have served patients from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut,
Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. He is based in Nyack, New York, on the healing waters of the
Great River, (a.k.a. the Hudson).
